Discovered in the Wyoming Green River Formation, Turritella is a gemstone that is easily recognized for the sea creatures’ shells that are embedded within it. Color is mainly chocolate and white, with tan and gray inclusions. Slightly harder than howlite, it takes a nice polish. Unbacked and sold by the pair. Avg. weight = 25 – 30 ct.
