The Santa Fe Indian Market is now 101 and ready for the next century! This event showcases a wide range of traditional and contemporary Native American art, including jewelry, pottery, textiles, paintings, and sculptures.  Featuring over 1,000 artists from over 200 tribes, this market is the largest and most prestigious Native arts show in the world. Visitors can expect to be immersed in a rich cultural experience, with opportunities to meet the artists, learn about their unique artistic processes, and purchase one-of-a-kind pieces directly from the artisans.  See the Official Guide for a complete list of artists and booth map.

The Indian Market is also a festival. Visitors should arrive with an empty stomach ready for Navajo fry bread, delicious roasted ears of corn, Hawaiian shaved ice and, of course, green chile stew (a Santa Fe staple). Once you’re full of green chile and fry bread, escape the heat at a showing of one of the native films showcased by the festival. This is just a taste of the many fun-filled activities that Indian Market offers. Native Cinema Showcase

From tradition to fashion runway, Indigenous artistic expression is constantly shifting, responding to our environment; some fashions reflect this, may challenge the viewer’s notion of “Indian style”, while some designers use fashion as a means social activism. Native Fashion
