Hematine Cabochons Oval

Hematine is an affordable simulant of hematite, often called magnetic hematite.  Hematine has properties similar to hematite, e.g., a hardness between 5 and 6.5.  Hematine is also brittle, so if used as a ring stone, employ protective settings to shield them from bumps and scratches.
